Queste macchine si differenziano dai normali forni di stiratura per i tempi prolungati di trattamento termico a temperature meno elevate; "come una volta", la scarpa o stivale, lentamente copia la forma lasciando il giusto tempo ai diversi tipi di materiale di modificarsi. Al termine del processo di stiratura, la successiva camera di raffreddamento, fissa il tomaio e tutti i particolari sulla forma, in modo da renderla stabile anche dopo il successivo scalzamento.
I parametri modificabili dall'operatore sono:
- Temperatura aria da 80 a 160 °C
- Temperatura dl vapore da 120 a 160 °C
- Percentuale di vapore da 0 a 100%
- Temperatura camera di raffreddamento da 5 a 15 °C
- Produzione 125 - 200 - 275 P/H.

These machines differ from the normal ironing ovens in the extended periods of heat treatment at lower temperatures: "just like in the olden days", the shoe or boot slowly copies the mould, allowing the various types of material the appropriate amount of time to modify. At the end of the ironing process, the next cooling chamber process fixes the uppers and all the specific details onto the mould in a manner that ensures its stability even after the subsequent shoe-removal from the machine.
The modifiable parameters are:
- Air temperature from 80 to 160 °C
- Steam temperature from 120 to 160 °C
- Percentage of steam from 0 to 100%
- Cooling chamber temperature from 5 to 15 °C
- Production 125 - 200 - 275 P/H.
